Tegenungan Waterfall: A Place To Refresh Your Body And Soul On A Hot Day At Ubud

To reach Tegenungan Waterfall Ubud from Kuta, you will need around 1 hour or more and it depends on the traffic. Tegenungan Waterfall is not too close to the main street, so you need to cross a small street (but enough for a bus) with rice fields view on the right and left. You also can find a public bath that has a natural atmosphere because it is covered by trees.

Tegenungan Waterfall has a height of 15 meters. Although it is not too high, the water discharge is very heavy. The water usually so clean and clear, depends on the weather too. But it is really fresh on a hot day, so it will be very suitable for swimming or just play from the side of the waterfall. Do not try to swimming under the waterfall, because it can be dangerous. If you do not want to get wet, maybe you can stay on the side of the waterfall and enjoy the splash fresh water from it. What you can do on the side of the waterfall is Rock Balancing. You can find a lot of rocks with various sizes and shapes, and challenge your self to make it balance. There are a lot of rock balancings from other visitors.

There is a little secret that I think you need to know about Tegenungan Waterfall, so if you are lucky enough, you can see a small rainbow behind the waterfall. I used to like to make wishes after saw the rainbow and sometimes my wishes came true (but not all). Make sure to try this one if you see the rainbow.
