Since Mount Ijen is not located on Bali Island, the journey begins with a scenic drive to Gilimanuk Harbour in West Bali. From there, we’ll take a short ferry ride across the Bali Strait to reach Ketapang Harbour in East Java. Once we arrive, we’ll head straight to Licin Village, the closest village to the base of Mount Ijen.

On the way to the mountain, you’ll pass through lush tropical forests filled with towering trees and giant ferns that grow on the slopes of Ijen. It’s a peaceful and refreshing drive that sets the mood for the adventure ahead.
